"Because our son is in the military and spends long periods in the field (across the USA and Deployed), we manage his vehicle insurance.
We were clearly told that when he deployed and left his truck with us for 9 months, that there would be no trouble linking his SF Beacon (in addition to our personal SF beacons) to our phones, but even after following the instructions multiple times, when we switched from his vehicle to ours, the link would apparently fail and we would then get notices of ‘no tracking’ from SF.
Kelly, the Customer Services Agent was very kind, and offered to try her hand at the link personally if we could come to her office, but that is a 50 mile one-way drive for us and with constant doctor appmnts in Springfield in addition to work, we just could not go 50 miles in the other direction.
Then, even though we always pay the full premium at the renewal date, and this premium was paid in full back in Feb 2026, we received the above notice in the mail that our son was being cancelled. And not only is there no refund SF is now claiming we owe them $43.67 …. We are not the only SF clients who have had trouble with the beacons, and those with problems are not only with Joplin.
